E31 – FAMILY KITAS 2 YEARS (EXTENSION)

The Family KITAS E31 (2 Years, Extension) allows foreign spouses and dependents of KITAS or KITAP holders to extend their legal stay in Indonesia for an additional two years. This extension ensures continued family unity and provides long-term stability without the need for frequent renewals. To apply, the primary sponsor must still hold a valid KITAS or KITAP, and updated documents such as a marriage or birth certificate are required. The extended KITAS is ideal for families committed to living in Indonesia for an extended period.

DOCUMENT WE WILL NEED

  1. Passport that is valid for at least 6 (six) months.
  2. A recent colour photograph.
  3. A personal bank statement showing a minimum equivalent amount of USD 2000. The statement must cover the last 3 months and include your name, the date, and the account balance.

Application from husband or wife (Indonesian citizen).

  1. ID card and Family card (KK) of the Indonesian spouse (status already changed to married/kawin).
  2. Proof of registration or recording to the Representative of the Republic of Indonesia/authorized agency in the field of civil registration and a marriage certificate that has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator* if the wedding ceremony took place outside the Indonesian territory.
  3. Marriage book or marriage certificate issued by the ministry or authorized institution if the wedding ceremony takes place in Indonesian territory.
